| HYMN #1058
1. Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy riven side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, Save me from its guilt and power.
2. Not the labor of my hands Can fulfill Thy law's demands; Could my zeal no respite know, Could my tears forever flow, All could never sin erase, Thou must save, and save by grace.
3. Nothing in my hands I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling; Naked, come to Thee for dress, Helpless, look to Thee for grace: Foul, I to the fountain fly, Wash me, Savior, or I die.
4. While I draw this fleeting breath, When mine eyes shall close in death, When I soar to worlds unknown, See Thee on Thy judgment throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee.
| Finally blogging? haha.
My east coast trip from Sept 12-17 was definitely a great experience. I got to visit so many places and attractions along the east coast... that it really opened my eyes to what's out there. It may sound cliche, but it's absolutely true. I never knew what New York was like, or Pennsylvania, or Washington DC, etc--but after going to these places, I learned a lot about their histories and traditions (and sport teams, haha). This trip also gave me the chance to see God's beautiful creations. Niagara Falls was just... simply amazing. It's most definitely a natural beauty made by God. :)
UCLA. This week is zero week, and it's packed full of activities. I had to wake up early everyday since moving in, haha. Hopefully I'll get to sleep till 10 AM or something tomorrow. But anyway, so far I've been having a good time here, whether it's going to the church meetings or meeting new people or volunteering at an elementary school... or playing ultimate frisbee! great exercise if you ask me. :) I can't wait to play some ping-pong!
On a different note, Law Abiding Citizen is a good movie (I got to watch it @ UCLA). It's violent, but I think it sends out a clear and concise message to corrupted people (in this movie, the DA) who have power. It comes out in theaters on October 16! go watch it. =)
I'll end with the first stanza of Hymn 66. Goodnight!
How sweet the Name of Jesus sounds In a believer's ear! It soothes his sorrow, heals his wounds, And drives away his fear.

Rest in Peace, Michael Jackson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9DDTiPzJCk&feature=related
You were an extremely talented, musical genius. Though you have died, your songs and memories will forever stay in your fans' minds. <3
| June 4, 2009 The day I graduated from high school.
I find it ironic because just a month ago I was desperate to graduate, yet now I'm starting to miss high school. I miss my friends, my teachers, the course material, everything. I feel nostalgic. However, I'm also excited for what's to come. Summer! = freedom. kind of. :) Taiwan?! UCLA. Meeting new people.
The possibilities? Endless. <3
| I attended Japanese 3 lecture + Life Science 2 at UCLA today. :) pretty cool <3 | | |
